Home-made Yoghurt

Yoghurt is delicious. You can eat it with crumble, on porridge, or in a nice bowl, perhaps with some honey or fruit on top. Ever wondered how to make your own yoghurt at home?

It's easy to make, but you must ensure that it stays at the right temperature during the fermentation process.  Before starting, it is essential to be absolutely definite that all your equipment is completely clean, as you don't want to add any unwanted bacteria to the bacteria you're trying to cultivate.

All you need is some fresh milk and some already-ready made yoghurt to act as a starter, and a clean, warmed vacuum flask to put the yoghurt in while it's fermenting, and another container to put it in when it's done.

Heat 1 pint of milk to boiling point, but then quickly reduce the temperature to 37.7C (100F). Stir in 15 millilitres fresh, already-made yoghurt, and pour the mixture into the vacuum flask and leave overnight. When it's ready, put it in a Tupperware with an airtight lid to store in the fridge.

Tadadada!
